Dear Hakka associations, families and friends around the world,
The 31st World Hakka Conference will be held on schedule in Markham, Ontario, Canada, on October 8th to 10th, 2021. We would like to invite folks from all over the world to register and attend. The registration fee for each participant is USD$200 (or CAD$250). Those who register before January 31, 2021 will receive the “Early Bird” offer of USD$150 (or CAD$200) per person. For payment methods, please refer to “Registration Fees” for more information.
If the 31st World Hakka Conference dates must be changed due to government ban of social gatherings and/or travel restrictions resulting from COVID-19, the conference will be postponed to 2022. The new dates will be announced before May 30, 2021. Any prepaid registration fees will automatically be credited to the rescheduled conference in 2022. For those who cannot attend in 2022, the 31st World Hakka Conference Organizing Committee will refund the full amount of prepaid fees.
Hakka Community Reports: Request for submissions:
The “Hakka Community Reports” Special Issue would like to call for submissions from Hakka associations from all over the world.
The 31st World Hakka Conference Organizing Committee will publish a Commemorative Special Issue. Please provide a “Hakka Community Report” from your association to update the global Hakka folks of your current hometown news, in around 4,000 words (in English or Chinese or both), and email your report to Editor@HakkaCanadianAssociation.com before April 30, 2021.
The World Hakka Conference will be held in Canada for the first time. The enthusiastic Organizing Committee members have been working diligently to plan and prepare. The beautiful scenery of the True North is awaiting your arrival and enjoyment. We the Canadian Hakka folks look forward to welcoming you to the 31st World Hakka Conference in Canada.
